Moments Kept is a botanical still life inspired by the quiet way flowers hold memory. The arrangement includes some of my favourite Australian botanicals alongside dahlias – a flower my dad loved. Since his passing, I’ve come to see flowers as small carriers of remembrance. When we notice someone’s favourite bloom, gift it, or grow it in our gardens, it can bring back moments shared with them. 

In this work, the flowers become more than a still life; they represent the gentle connection between nature, memory and the people we love. Each bloom is a reflection of how simple, familiar things can hold comforting reminders of time spent together.
