Where Two Homes Meet explores the quiet blending of heritage and place through familiar botanical forms. An olive branch – symbolic of my family’s origins and the garden of my childhood – sits alongside eucalyptus blossom, a plant that surrounds me in my everyday walks.

Growing up, my parents filled our garden with plants that reminded them of home, weaving them together with what grows naturally in Australia. This act of planting became a way of holding onto memory while creating a sense of belonging in a new landscape.

In this work, the two branches come together as a reflection of that experience – of living between places, and of how identity can be shaped by both where we come from and where we are. It is a small, personal study of connection, continuity, and the ways we make a place feel like home.
