Talking it up
What an honour and a privilege it was to be “talking it up” with Aaron & Erin at Sydney’s Hope 103.2FM Breakfast Show this morning!
The thing is I had to be at the Seven Hills Radio Station at 7am in Sydney traffic…and anyone who knows Sydney traffic can sympathise with me 🙂
But I’m pleased to say that since starting my marathon training, very early mornings are becoming a norm, and a pleasure in fact! So I had no problem at all waking up and getting there in time.
Now, Aaron & Erin talk to some pretty interesting people, so when I say I was “honoured” when they asked me to come in this morning, I really was. The fact that they consider my story and my marathon challenge a worthy enough news story is so encouraging. They just seem to get that NO MORE BREAST CANCER DEATHS BY 2030 is a big deal. They agree that 7 Australian women dying from breast cancer every day is just not on.
So thanks Aaron & Erin. Love you guys and thank you for being interested in my story and helping me to get the details of my fundraising challenge out there! Every bit of support I get helps me reach my goal of raising a minimum of $10,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which in turn brings researchers ever closer to their goal of NO MORE BREAST CANCER DEATHS BY 2030!
