As an artist and designer, with qualifications in both graphic and interior design, my work has naturally developed into specialising in fabric and wallpaper design. Particularly for interior designers who require bespoke designs for both residential and commercial spaces, as well as trend savvy home renovators. I’m obsessed with seeing my designs come to life, to spark joy in any space.
Fabrics have always been a cornerstone in interior design, but any exploration into the exciting and ever-changing world of design trends reveals a resurgence of wallpaper too, and I’m loving it! What better way to ignite a fresh perspective on living and working spaces – from classic botanical motifs to mural wonders of magical bird-filled bush scenes and textured marvels like grasscloth, the options are limitless. With strategic wallpaper & fabric choices, we can orchestrate specific moods and atmospheres within our spaces that are simply transformative.
Wallpaper is an accessible way to redefine spaces quickly when you’re desperate for a pick-me-up, similar to what new throw cushions can do for a room that needs a bit of a refresh. My mission is to empower interior designers and home diy-ers alike, to craft breathtaking and unique spaces using my beautiful artist-created wallpaper and fabric designs.

Wallpaper Trends
Wallpaper design has a historical lineage spanning centuries and is continually evolving. Right now, the world is our oyster when it comes to wallpaper choice, with the following trends making an impact at the moment:
- Geometric patterns – lending structure and depth to spaces, fostering visual intrigue and coherence.
- Nature-inspired themes – bringing the outdoors in, infusing tranquility and serenity into spaces, often featuring botanical elements or scenic vistas.
- Textured wallpapers – introducing depth and tactility, with options like grasscloth offering an organic allure.
- Vibrant colour palettes – bold hues making a statement, injecting vitality and drama into any room.
Selecting The Perfect Wallpaper
- Consider purpose and ambience – Tailor wallpaper choices to the intended function of each space. For example, bedrooms may benefit from calming prints, while communal areas may thrive on energetic patterns.
- Harmonise with other design elements – Ensure coherence by selecting wallpapers that complement existing furnishings, artworks and accessories.
- Aligning with colour schemes – Choose wallpapers that compliment the room’s colour palette, being mindful of colour psychology principles. You can easily do some research, but here are a couple of examples of how to use colour in a space…
- Soft Blue for a Calming Space (Bedroom):
Colour Psychology: Soft blue is associated with a calm, tranquil and serene vibe. It promotes relaxation and helps to reduce stress and anxiety. Blue is often considered a soothing colour, evoking feelings of peace and comfort. It’s an ideal choice for bedrooms where creating a serene atmosphere conducive to sleep is important. Soft blue hues can help to create a sense of spaciousness and openness, making the room feel more tranquil and inviting.
- Vibrant Yellow for an Energetic Space (Kitchen):
Colour Psychology: Vibrant yellow is a high-energy colour associated with happiness, warmth and optimism. It stimulates mental activity and promotes feelings of joy and positivity. Yellow is known to increase energy levels and boost creativity. In the kitchen, where people gather for meals and socialise, vibrant yellow can create a lively and welcoming atmosphere. It can also stimulate appetite and evoke a sense of freshness and vitality, making it an excellent choice for a space where cooking and dining take place.
These are just two examples, but it’s easy to see how incorporating particular colours into respective rooms, you can effectively utilise colour psychology to create the desired ambiance and atmosphere you desire for each space.
Ultimately, well-designed spaces enhance our well-being and quality of life. By harmonising wallpaper patterns, colour palettes and finishing choices and leveraging sophisticated interior design principles, you can craft living environments that inspire joy and contentment.
